About Miss Ammons

I was born and raised in Wagram, NC. I am 26 years old.  I attended Wagram Primary School, Shaw Middle School, and Scotland High School. I graduated from high school in 2001 and went off to college at The University of North Carolina – Asheville. I loved being in the mountains of NC for 4 years. I graduated with a degree in Meteorology and moved back to Wagram.

Finding a job proved to be difficult. I decided to test out being a teacher. I started working at Shaw as a teacher’s assistant. I loved helping out kids so I became a teacher! I am currently going to school at UNCP to get my teaching license. 

I enjoy reading, but only if it is for fun! The Harry Potter series are my favorite books. I like watching all kinds of sports. The UNC Tarheels are my favorite college basketball and football teams. I like going fishing! One time I caught a 7 ½ pound bass and it was awesome! 

I don’t have any children, but my heart belongs to my overgrown Chihuahua, Riley. He is very spoiled! He loves Milkbones and doggie ice cream. 

I love teaching math and science. I try to make my class as fun as I can. Thanks for coming to my website!
